Route: Historic center of Motta Montecorvino and visit to the museum of peasant civilization and popular traditions. Walk to the sambuceto and wild herbs, laboratory demonstration on the ancient techniques of milling. Finally, a relaxing aperitif at sunset with local zero km products and cocktails with juice and elderberry flowers to be enjoyed together with the breathtaking view of the delicate hills of the Monti Dauni.
A bit of history
Sambucus nigra or elder is a very common plant in our territory. In addition to its healthy powers, the Elder was also the subject of "ancient" games: the branches carved and emptied of the marrow were used by children as a blowgun to throw balls of cloth or spray water.
The Elder is a plant that has inspired many legends and superstitions: it is said that his wood was used to build the cross on which Jesus was crucified and the tree to which Judas Iscariot hanged himself after his betrayal; That’s why it became a symbol of suffering.
The aperitif will be served in a cardboard box with only typical local excellences and biodegradable disposable cutlery prepared by APS Only Food in combination with the cocktail made in collaboration with Apulia cocktail experience.
