In the country of the most famous Christmas pastoral in the world awaits you an evocative nativity scene.
The Re-enactment of the birth of Jesus is set in the characteristic streets of the old town, near a spectacular cliff and inside the Norman Castle of Deliceto, with costumes of '700 Neapolitan, to remember the presence, at the Convent of Consolation, by S. Alfonso M. De Liguori (1744-47) where he composed one of the most famous Christmas Nenie in the world: "Tu Scendi dalle Stelle".
The event, historical-religious-cultural, organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the City, sees the participation of hundreds of actors, represent about twenty scenes, with moments of life of the eighteenth century delicetano and tasting of local products. For the occasion the ancient cellars of the Rione Pesco are used: caves excavated in the sandstone.
Repeat on January 6 (with the spectacular arrival of the Magi) from 17.00 to 21.00.
The entrance is at the ancient "Porta Scarano", of the ancient city walls, guarded by guards, with period clothing.
